Directly adjacent to Adelphi University, high school students are able to earn college credit through our unique partnership with Adelphi. The Waldorf School of Garden City is an independent college preparatory day school for children in Nursery through Twelfth Grade. The Nursery through Twelfth Grade curriculum is supplemented by a number of auxiliary programs, including the Parent-Child Program, a summer day camp and extended-day program in Garden City, and our 250-acre extension campus and farm located in Marlborough, New Hampshire. After listening to his lectures, the workers at the Waldorf-Astoria cigarette factory in Stuttgart asked him to form a school for their children, and in 1919 the first Waldorf School was founded.
